NuRAN Wireless (NUR) said it will pilot modular edge compute nodes at select company‑owned rural connectivity sites in Africa, leveraging its more than 5,000 contracted powered sites to expand from Network‑as‑a‑Service into Infrastructure‑as‑a‑Service. Management says the nodes could enable caching, network optimization and future AI services to raise revenue per site, but deployments are early‑stage pilots and subject to financing, execution, regulatory and build/operational risks.
