Polyrizon completes contracts at all 5 U.S. sites for NASARIX first-in-human allergy trial
Polyrizon (PLRZ) said it has executed contracts with all five U.S. clinical sites for its first-in-human NASARIX (PL-14) allergy blocker study and is moving the program into study execution, including patient pre-screening and enrollment preparations. The prospective, multicenter, randomized single-blind trial plans to enroll up to 120 patients randomized 1:1 to NASARIX vs isotonic saline, with the primary endpoint of mean daily reflective Total Nasal Symptom Score (rTNSS) over the first 14 days and safety/secondary endpoints defined; enrollment will be timed to local allergy seasons.
PLRZ: Central IRB approves NASARIX seasonal-allergy clinical study
Polyrizon (PLRZ) received central IRB approval from BRANY to begin its first human trial of NASARIX, an intranasal hydrogel meant to block airborne allergens; the randomized study will compare NASARIX against saline to assess efficacy, safety and tolerability in seasonal allergic rhinitis. The approval covers the master protocol and study materials and is valid through June 17, 2027.
PLRZ: U.S. patent application published for mucoadhesive nasal drug‐delivery platform
Polyrizon (PLRZ) had U.S. patent application US 2024/0358741 A1 published covering its Trap & Target mucoadhesive polymer platform for nasal drug delivery, describing compositions that form durable mucosal films to improve retention, sprayability and drug absorption. The filing frames use across sprays, gels and inhalation for delivery of anti-inflammatories, vaccines, biologics and other APIs, but the technology is preclinical and the publication is an application, not an issued patent.
Polyrizon launches human study to measure NASARIX nasal residence time to support regulatory filings
Polyrizon signed agreements with a leading European university medical center and a CRO to run a single-site human performance/characterization study measuring nasal residence time of NASARIX (PL-14) in healthy volunteers using serial endoscopic visualization. The data are intended to quantify expected duration of the product's protective barrier and to support the company's verification & validation program and planned regulatory submissions (including FDA), though timing and enrollment details were not disclosed.
PLRZ — EPO publishes European patent application for mucoadhesive 'Trap & Target' nasal delivery tech
Polyrizon (PLRZ) said the European Patent Office published its European application EP 4751737 covering Trap & Target, a mucoadhesive polymer platform designed to increase nasal residence time and improve drug absorption for intranasal drug delivery. The publication strengthens Polyrizon's IP portfolio and could support future European partnering or commercialization if granted, but the application is still under examination and issuance is not assured.
