SMSI's SafePath OS debuts on Consumer Cellular's SpeakEasy senior phones
Consumer Cellular launched a connected-care solution for older adults built on Smith Micro's SafePath OS for Senior Phone, available on SpeakEasy smartphone and flip devices and sold through the SpeakEasy Connect Care+ plan with a caregiver app on iOS and Android. The launch is the first commercial deployment of SafePath OS for Senior Phone and expands Smith Micro's distribution into Consumer Cellular's senior-focused customer base, though the release discloses no financial terms or expected revenue impact.
SMSI launches SafePath SDKs/APIs so carriers can embed family-safety features into their apps
Smith Micro (SMSI) announced availability of SafePath SDKs and APIs that let mobile and other service providers embed SafePath family-safety features (location, parental controls, screen time, content filtering, driving insights, emergency tools) directly into their own branded apps. The company says the new deployment options simplify onboarding, reduce app fragmentation and expand its total addressable market, but the release includes no customer wins or revenue guidance tied to the announcement.
Smith Micro files S-1 to register resale of warrant shares and S-8 for equity plan
Smith Micro (SMSI) filed a Form S-1 to register for resale the common shares underlying warrants issued in its June 2026 financing and a Form S-8 to register additional shares for its amended Omnibus Equity Incentive Plan; the company says no new securities are being offered and stockholders will not experience dilution from these filings. The S-1 fulfills contractual registration rights and, if declared effective, will enable warrant holders to resell registered shares (increasing free float), while the S-8 clears the way for future equity grants under the approved plan but does not itself raise cash.
