VERU CEO to speak at Cantor Healthcare conference; PLATEAU Phase 2b fully enrolled
Veru said CEO Mitchell Steiner will participate in a fireside chat at the 2026 Cantor Global Healthcare Conference on Sept. 9 (webcast available). The company also reported the PLATEAU Phase 2b trial of enobosarm plus semaglutide is fully enrolled at 239 patients (vs a 200 patient target), with a DXA-based interim analysis due in Q1 2027 and final topline data expected in Q4 2027.

Veru says its Phase 2b PLATEAU trial of enobosarm added to semaglutide is fully enrolled at 239 patients (target 200); an interim DXA analysis of lean and fat mass after 32 weeks is on track for Q1 2027 and final topline data is expected in Q4 2027 (primary endpoint: % change in total body weight at 68 weeks). The company also announced a clinical supply agreement with Novo Nordisk, received a USPTO Notice of Allowance for a US patent covering enobosarm+semaglutide regimens (expected protection to at least Oct 2044), and reported Q3 cash of $23.9M and a net loss of $7.0M (‐$0.30) for the quarter.
Veru completes enrollment in Phase 2b PLATEAU trial of enobosarm + semaglutide; interim Q1'27
Veru (VERU) said it has fully enrolled ~200 older patients (≥65, BMI≥35) in the randomized Phase 2b PLATEAU study testing oral enobosarm 3 mg vs placebo added to semaglutide, with an interim analysis expected in Q1 2027 and topline data in Q4 2027. The trial’s primary endpoint is percent change in total body weight at 68 weeks and key secondaries (DXA-measured fat/lean mass, stair-climb physical function, bone mineral density) are intended to show whether enobosarm preserves lean mass and drives additional, higher-quality weight loss on top of GLP-1 therapy.
Veru secures free Wegovy supply from Novo Nordisk for Phase 2b PLATEAU
VERU INC. filed SEC Form 8-K. Veru entered a clinical supply agreement with Novo Nordisk under which Novo will supply Wegovy (semaglutide) at no charge as required for Veru’s Phase 2b PLATEAU study while Veru will sponsor and conduct the trial. Veru retains full global development and commercialization rights to enobosarm but granted Novo Nordisk a right of first negotiation for any future development/commercialization of enobosarm combined with a Novo GLP‐1 product; the agreement can be terminated by Novo Nordisk for convenience with 60 days' prior notice.
