Execution context

Compare indicator conditions known at your entries, adds and exits.

Choose one-minute or five-minute candles and an execution type. EMA 9 and EMA 20 describe shorter and longer recent price direction. Their alignment and changing separation describe the relationship between the averages. RSI describes recent upward versus downward momentum; above 70 and below 30 are commonly called overbought and oversold, but neither requires an immediate reversal.

Indicator context uses completed candles available before the execution, not the unfinished candle containing it. Earlier candle history is requested when needed during analysis and reused when available. EMA 9 can begin with nine completed candles and EMA 20 with twenty, using the selected timeframe. Earlier history helps the averages settle; a shorter history can produce a different value from a chart with more history loaded. Each execution and indicator is checked separately. Less frequently traded candles remain separate from regularly spaced candles. A missing candle alone does not prove low volume or a provider fault.

EMA 9 & EMA 20, RSI and Session VWAP each have a separate comparison table. Choose EMA alignment, either average's direction, changing EMA spacing, RSI range or RSI direction. Tables show the selected Gross or Net outcome, including wins, losses, breakevens, average and median P/L, average return and known-data counts. Direction comparisons keep regularly spaced, sparse and interrupted observations separate. Candle age shows how recent the observation was; the direction span shows how much clock time its three-candle comparison covered.

A user-defined trade can contain multiple entries, exits and opening-to-flat positions. Each comparison counts its completed P/L once per group. The Execution context groups can overlap. Unavailable P/L is excluded from the average, not silently treated as zero or replaced with another reporting basis.

Combined conditions requires all chosen conditions at the same execution. A trade matches if at least one execution of the selected type meets them all. Otherwise it is nonmatching only when every selected execution has the required indicator data; missing data stays in a separate group. These three groups do not overlap. Trades without that execution type are counted outside the comparison.

Online filter selections stay in the page address. The table includes known-P/L counts, wins, losses, breakevens, total, average and median trade P/L, and average trade return. Average return gives each trade equal weight and uses its P/L divided by total entry value. Newly saved offline views reopen with their comparison and indicator filter choices. You can change these choices within the saved view without requesting new candles; older saved views open with the default choices.

Supporting trades shows the executions behind the selected comparison group, 25 at a time by default. View details expands the saved EMA, RSI and VWAP values, last completed candle, candle age and direction observation span. The whole-trade P/L repeats when a trade has several executions; do not add those rows together. Full analysis opens the saved trade and chart, keeping your selected candle timeframe and Gross/Net basis for that analysis. This does not change your account preference. If a date range has no analyzed trades, choose another period.

Indicators at the comparison point

Compare the same point across qualifying trades.

On Green to red, choose First +20% to compare indicator conditions before later red or no-later-red outcomes. First red after +20% considers only trades that turned red and compares later recorded recovery. On Scaling out, every trade uses its first arrival at the chosen profit zone, whether or not it later took profit there.

A move found from a candle's high or low may have happened anywhere within that minute. Its indicator context therefore stops before the minute began. An exact exit-fill comparison uses the execution time. Last completed close vs VWAP compares two prices known before the point, not an assumed buy or sell.

The existing financial comparison still decides which trades qualify. Missing saved indicator context remains an unavailable group rather than removing a trade or changing its financial result. Choosing a comparison never requests new candles or AI analysis.

During the trade

Inspect recorded losses and returns across a reference while you held shares.

Until position closure compares the selected event price with the actual closing-fill price for that held position. The summary averages the first selected event from each trade; Recorded events shows individual closing times and price changes per share and as a percentage. Partial exits do not end the window, and a later re-entry is not included. This is stock-price movement, not trade P/L. Missing measurements stay unavailable and do not enter the average.

View trades opens the saved trades behind a during-trade group, with the same event, timeframe, conditions and earlier-history choice. Each trade appears once, with a note explaining its inclusion. Change indicator conditions returns to the comparison with those choices preserved. These links require an online connection; offline comparisons continue to use the saved view.

Choose the reference and Event, then select any EMA, RSI, VWAP or candle-spacing conditions. Close vs EMA 20 lets you study an EMA 9 loss while price remains above EMA 20. All conditions use the same first event. Matching conditions, Not matching and Context unavailable are separate groups; their completed trade results count each saved trade once.

For long trades, a recorded loss moves from above to below the chosen reference; a return moves back above. Short trades use the reverse. Neutral closes do not create extra events. The headline comparison uses the first qualifying event in the entire saved trade, before conditions are filtered. The event table also includes later occurrences.

Earlier incomplete history is shown separately. Recovery may still be observed, may have no recorded return before position closure, or may be unknown because observation was interrupted. Unknown recovery is excluded from the return-rate denominator.

Trades with complete history and no recorded selected event are separate from trades whose event history could not be checked. A return-only study includes observed returns, so it does not show a return rate. Older saved reads without return-specific context stay unavailable rather than borrowing the earlier loss's price or a later event.

Five-, 15-, 30- and 60-minute follow-through uses actual clock time and the exact available one-minute endpoint. Positions closed before or at that time are separate from still-open observations. These are stock-price changes, not your trade profit. Saved offline views retain the same comparisons without making new market-data requests.
