Fabric.AI to Join Nasdaq MarketSite Live AMA on AI Bottlenecks, Spotlighting Neural I/o Partnership
Fabric.AI (FABC) will participate in a live YouTube "Ask Me Anything" panel at Nasdaq MarketSite on Oct. 20, featuring Senior Strategic Advisor James Altucher alongside Kopin CEO Michael Murray and AI expert Cortney Harding. The discussion will focus on AI infrastructure constraints (data movement, energy, networking) and Fabric.AI’s jointly developed Neural I/o MicroLED optical interconnect technology with Kopin, aimed at easing data-movement bottlenecks; no new technical demos, commercial milestones or timelines were announced.
Fabric.AI hires Kearney to lead commercialization of Neural I/o optical interconnect
Fabric.AI (FABC) engaged global consulting firm Kearney to build a commercialization and go‑to‑market strategy for its Neural I/o MicroLED optical interconnect platform and to convert early technical interest into a structured sales pipeline. Fabric.AI and development partner Kopin (KOPN) say they have NDAs and ongoing technical talks with several large semiconductor and data‑center companies, and expect hardware demonstrations in early 2027 followed by active sales discussions — but no commercial commitments yet.
Fabric.AI files two patent applications for micro‑LED optical interconnects with Kopin
Fabric.AI (FABC) said it filed two USPTO patent applications, developed with Kopin (KOPN), for a micro‑LED optical interconnect architecture that images an entire LED array with novel optics rather than aligning channels individually — one application covers fiber‑coupled imaging onto multicore fiber and the other covers connector‑free free‑space imaging across short gaps. The company says the approach should let parallel optical links scale to thousands of channels without rising assembly/alignment cost and could remove connectors inside packages or between adjacent boards; Fabric.AI expects to demonstrate working Neural I/o hardware in January 2027.
Fabric.AI and Kopin sign several NDAs, including NVLink participants, to expand Neural I/o effort
Fabric.AI and Kopin announced several new non-disclosure agreements with prospective industry participants — including companies in NVIDIA's NVLink ecosystem — widening the group evaluating their Neural I/o MicroLED optical interconnect platform. Neural I/o aims to move large volumes of data between GPUs, accelerators and memory using a massively parallel MicroLED optical architecture and the companies plan a public demonstration at CES 2027; the program remains in development with integration and manufacturing risks.
Fabric.AI hires Egon Zehnder to find senior project management executive
Fabric.AI (NASDAQ: FABC) engaged executive-search firm Egon Zehnder to lead the search for a senior project management executive to coordinate its Neural I/o MicroLED optical interconnect development, partnerships (including Kopin), and commercialization workstreams. The move follows recent technical hires and NDAs with two major semiconductor companies and signals a push to add operational leadership to execute a complex, early-stage roadmap.
